Our Story
The idea for Radar Talent Solutions originated as a personal need: when my son Jonah started kindergarten in fall 2022, he was among 700 kids who were placed on a waitlist for after school care (Kids Club) due to a district-wide staffing shortage. Because the after school program is so popular, there were very few independent after school options to meet the local need, and families struggled to find childcare from 2:30 to 6:00. When Jonah would get off the bus at 2:45, my wife and I had difficulty entertaining him while we finished our work, and many days he ended up watching TV for a couple hours. We felt guilty, but felt even worse for families whose parents didn't have the flexibility to work from home.
Turning frustration into action, I reached out to our local school district to offer hiring support. I leaned into my corporate experience scaling businesses with high-volume hiring efforts. Together, we developed a robust, high-touch recruiting model and in 5 months, we hired enough staff to eliminate the waitlist. Jonah was able to join Kids Club in January 2023, along with many other kids. Jonah was happier, we were certainly happier, and my interactions with the school district inspired me to see how many others I could serve.
Today, Radar Talent Solutions is focused on supporting school districts or local governments with high-volume hiring strategies. We can help hire the childcare staff, bus drivers, para-professionals, parks and rec staff, maintenance or facilities support, public works employees that our communities depend on.
